It feels so nice to finally not be unsure of when things will come. It feels so good to say that we are going to China THIS month. Not that we are hoping to go this month... we are GOING this month. We had hoped to hear of our confirmed CA today, completely forgetting that the Consulate is closed today-Friday due to the Chinese national holiday The soonest we will know it is Monday. As of now, it's looking like our tentative travel dates will work. There was a chance that we were going to fly out this weekend (Sunday) and be able to meet up with a group that is leaving tomorrow. However, with the consulate closed, this is no longer possible. (You have to have a CA to be able to go... just in case something doesn't work out.) However, in less than 3 weeks we should be on our way!!! Not sure when we will meet Kate. Normally, gotcha days with our agency are on Mondays. Which would fall on AnnaClaire's birthday... Don't get me wrong, that would be the BEST third birthday present for our first princess, we just would really like them to fall on separate days since both are a HUGE reason to celebrate! (Not that AnnaClaire would even really understand the whole thing, just for future birthdays/gotcha days!) If Kate stays in Tianjin, we should be able to get her before then, anyway. We will just have to see. If our tentative dates become concrete, we will be gone for AC's birthday, Halloween (don't really care about that... it's not a huge thing in our house!), Dad's birthday, and the elections! So we will definitely be celebrating in China! We are SO OVER THE MOON! I can't believe the time has FINALLY come!! Some days it felt like we would NEVER get Kate. THIS MONTH, she will be in our arms! Can't wait, can't wait!
By the way, yes, I did redo the blog again. I used the same kit, I just wasn't in love with the last look. It was nothing major, just a few quick changes...
Lastly, I added the links of other people who we will be traveling with. It's on the sidebar under "Traveling with..." Unlike AC's adoption trip, quite a few of the families are adopting for a second time! There are lots of little girls AC's age who are getting siblings!

Congratulations on your TA and finally making those travel plans!! I am so happy for your whole family, and can't wait to see her in your arms at last! If you want any information about Nanchang (I assume you'll be there to adopt Kate) please e-mail me... I'd be glad to share any info and advice I can. We liked it a lot, but for us the heat was very tough to deal with. I am thankful for your sakes that it will probably be cooler when you are there. We are finally re-entering the real world again after our trip and jet lag, adjusting baby to home, etc. Take care and keep us posted!

Hooray! Sorry I'm late with those congratulations but Maddy and I have been down with the flu for the past couple of days. I had to laugh when I read the part about leaving this Sunday. I had just recently told your mom that it "could" happen as we were living proof. If the CA had not been closed, you'd have been rushing around like chickens with your heads cut off like I was just one year ago. :0)
I'm so happy you are going in october for sweet Kate. I really must get busy on sending you a quilt square!
