Day 3: Austin

After the girls opened some Easter treats from Grandma, we headed off to Aus*tin! We stopped about half way in Bren*ham at the Blu*e Bell factory for a tour (and for some blue bonnet pictures!) We love our Blu*e Bell ice cream and enjoyed seeing how it's made and even got a nice taste of ice cream! Mom had taken Will, Drew, and I when we were little, but of course, we didn't remember that. We were then back on the road to Aus*tin to, of course, see U*T. Mom and Dad enjoyed showing us around and showing us things that they had done and where they had lived (the picture of Dad and Will was taken rtight in front of the window of Dad's dorm room!) when they went to U*T. We went to the Co*Op and the Tower, obviously, and just had a very fun time walking around. They are doing a lot of construction, but we did get to see the football stadium, too. We ended the day with the Coun*ty Li*ne, famous BBQ. It was delicious :) We just arrived in Wa*co and will be here tomorrow and Wednesday morning touring Bay*lor!

Yeah, I was hoping you would find bluebonnets that you could take pictures in!!! Gorgeous!! Did you crush any (just a little bud) and notice that they smell like peanut butter?

LOVE the pics of the girls in the blue bonnets! that was one of my favorite things about Austin in the Spring.

C*unty Line is yum-o! if you go back thru, make sure you stop at The Salt Lick in Driftwood. :) it's our all time favorite.

Countyline on the Hill or on the Lake? Just wondering how close you came to our house! Fun to have followed your blog on your journey to Kate and now to read entries from Austin. Sorry about the bit of a cold front. Have fun!

Looks like you're all having a GREAT time. LOVE your new blog design (esp. the pic of you and your sisters!) Thanks for bringing us along for the trip to TX. :) BTW - can you tell your Mom to check in with CGG? I shared a little bitty "something" - titled "shhhhhhhhhhhh" ;-) Hugs and love to my favorite 16 year old!
