Guest Blogger!

Updated... I forgot to give an example of the type of daughter Emily is~ she was invited with 2 different friends to go to their beach houses over spring break. Each family was leaving on Good Friday. Emily declined both invitations and told me after the fact. When I asked why, she said, "I knew how important is was to you have us all together on Easter, with Will coming in and all. I asked when they were leaving and when they said on Friday, I told them no. If they had gone on Monday, though, I would have gone!" Emily, I just LOVE how you think of others, and not just yourself. Thank you. You are such a gift.

This is Mom, hacking in to wish my beloved girl a very HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Emily you are a gift from God, a blessing to our family, and a delight to your mom. (and dad) I LOVE your heart, your smile, your very easy going disposition and the joy you bring to your little sisters. You are the best daughter and sissy anyone could ever ask for!!!!! God is going to do great things through you~ I just know it! Happy Birthday Emily!

Love, Mom

PS~ One thing I KNOW about Emily, is that she's a girl who LOVES when you comment on her blog. SO, maybe, just maybe, could you all take the time to leave her a birthday wish????

Hi Emily,

It's Lisa, LilyRose's mom. I just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday. I hope it's a great one. I think of you and your family often. When I tell LilyRose of her time in China waiting for us, your family is ALWAYS a part of the story. I really love you all very much for without you, I wouldn't have the CUTEST pictures of LilyRose while we waited to bring her home.

I am so very happy that you and your family will not only be bringing a sweet little boy home but also another sister. AWESOME!!

So, please tell your mom I was asking for her.

Love to you

Lisa

Emily, after you left the park the other day all the moms were commenting on what a remarkable young woman you are. It is so evident that God has, is and will continue to do a mighty work in your life and I am so proud of you for honoring your mom and dad by staying home for Easter. Nothing brings more joy to a parent then knowing that their child is walking in the truth(3 John 1:4).
I hope you had a fantastic birthday!

Pam, your post brought tears to my eyes and I want you to know that you and Bill have done such an amazing job raising Emily and all of your children for that matter. They are a living testamony to your dedication to the Lord and to your family.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

I know your Mom is very proud of you b/c she has told me so!

Hope your b-day was very special and sorry I'm a day late!

Happy Birthday Emily!! I could not agree with your mom more - the short time we spent with you in China I was so taken by your heart for Christ and the joy and love that spills out of that genuine love. I remember thinking - I hope some day that my daughters display such grace, joy & wisdom. I hope you have a very Happy Birthday!
