Today, we were on our way to meet Sara Beth, her brothers, and mommy, and Sarah Mei and her mommy when Mom's cell phone rang.
We couldn't remember our agency's exact area code, but we knew for sure that the first 2 digits were the same...
Now... you must know that there was rumoured to be a "flood" of TAs coming in early this week. And even though our article 5 for Grace was only 11 days ago, our article 5 for Charlie was 2 months ago... so we were hoping to be expediated... and hoping for TA... and I was still praying for that May miracle...
So when Mom's phone rang, my heart skipped a beat. She looked at her phone and looked at me as if to say, "this might be it."
She answered and the other end said, "Pam?"
The way mom answered, it sounded like it just might be our agency calling.
I thought that maybe, just maybe, this was the call we have been waiting 10 months, 3 weeks, and a day for...
It was not.
Sigh. Don't people know not to call when we are anxiously waiting on our travel approval? ;)
I am so tired of waiting! I know God's plans are *SO* much better than mine... but it's still so hard to answer the continuous questions of "when are you going to China?" "why don't you know when you are travelling?" "why can't you just go now?"

I so remember those days and then it got to the point where I would cry every friday at 3:00 because another week had gone by with no TA. It will be here! Someday soon you will look back on this as just a memory and those 2 sweet kids will be sitting by your side. Hang in there. It will come!

Oh my- I was so hoping today was the day! I had heard of someone getting TA after 10 days, so I thought it might be possible! But No...

Except it is 14 months and 8 days for us.
Our agency just got TAs for people with Article 5 dates of 4/15.
As for the expedite, we ALREADY have a TA dated 4/4 but they won't let us use it.
*banging head on counter as I type*
About the questions, I just say now, "I don't know." Or I pull out the one well-meaning *friends* (who've never adopted) like to throw out: "All in God's timing"
