Mountains!

Here are some pictures that I promised from the mountains a couple of weeks ago! They all had so much fun and had a beautiful day for it! We can't wait to go back (and hopefully Sissy can join next time!)

And just because, here's a sweet story about these two...

Charlie and Kate are QUITE the pair. It is beyond adorable. She is the princess, who is always walking around in dress up clothes and anything girly. He is the tender hearted gentleman who adores playing babies with her. And doing anything with her, really. They are absolutely precious together.

On Sunday, Mom had just dressed Kate in her Church dress.

Charlie walked by and ran up to Kate saying, "You wook bu-ful, Kay!"

Kate says in the sweetest voice, "Thank you Charlie!"

And runs to Mom yelling, "Mommy, Charlie told me I was beautiful!"

Auburn and Welcome Home!

This weekend, Dad, Grace, AnnaClaire, my friend and I went up to visit Au*burn. Dad and the girls came on the tour and had lunch with us and then they headed back to Aunt L's house for the weekend!
My friend and I stayed with a really good friend of mine and we had a great weekend! (And for those of you wondering, I LOVED Au*burn and have actually already applied there!)
It was complete with being at the Au*burn vs. Sou*th Caro*lina game, which was awesome!
After we got home on Sunday, I joined Mom to go welcome some friends home from China!
It was so good to get to welcome this sweet family home with their PRECIOUS son!
It was an extra special moment because I had been praying for their little guy, Ty, for over a year as he waited on an waiting child list. It's such a blessing to KNOW the family that brought this sweet guy who had such a part of my heart home!
Isn't he PRECIOUS!?!?!?!?!
He was enthralled with his signs... and his sisters :)
There's just nothing like the miracle of adoption! Welcome home sweet Ty!

Missing me? ;)

I'm officially the worst blogger ever. So sorry. My own family keeps saying every day, "when are you going to update the blog?" I do have good reasons though! :) I have been so busy with the usual school work, and in addition, have been working on college applications. In fact, I've officially applied to 3 schools! And then there's been work and doing things with friends... so anyway. We're doing well! Homeschooling with them is going great! AnnaClaire especially is LOVING kindergarten! She works so hard with all of her work and just loves the fact that she's has school! Gracie is doing pretty well, too. She thinks it's funny that Mom is her teacher! There's not much Mom can do with her without the language skills, but she is learning the basics and enjoying it.

The "older" girls are loving their sports, too. They had their little picture day on Saturday. Can't wait to see how those turned out. :)

Life with the four of them is busy, as Mom will tell you very quickly. But we wouldn't have it any other way!

Enjoy the pictures~ The first few are from the first day of school! :)

Saturday Fun

I will upload first day of school pictures soon, but they are on the other camera, which Dad has at the moment. So for today, here are some from yesterday. It was finally the big day that AnnaClaire has been looking forward to for a couple of months... the day that soccer started! She had the best time ever and ran to us so proudly afterwards with her new jersey, socks, and water bottle. It was precious. Gracie also started volleyball yesterday and she had a great time, too! Hers was early, so just Dad brought her and he brought the video camera but not the other camera, so there are no pictures. She seemed to have a really fun time though and also got some new volleyball gear :)

After the sports were over, Dad and I headed down the street to the big fair that our little town has ever Labor day weekend. We had the most beautiful weather for it... FINALLY. I forget how much I love this time of year. Football and cool weather. Anyway, we had a very fun time and all of the kids loved the rides, snacks, booths, and sitting in a real firetruck! It was a really fun morning!

Mom, Dad, and the kiddos are at the mountains now (I had to work, so couldn't join) so I'm sure I'll have lots more pictures to upload, but enjoy these for now :)
