On Friday night, the pool was oddly closed, so we pulled out the sprinkler! AC had SO much fun in it!
Almost every day, AnnaClaire talks about Kate. The other day, we had workers at our house (the new room is coming along and pretty soon AC will be moving into the big girl room!) One of them has twin 9 month olds so he is so sweet with AnnaClaire. Anyway, it was the day we were making Kate's wish. He walked by and asked what she was coloring. She responded with this, "I color a picture for KATE! I share my toys with KATE! We go on the big airplane to CHINA and get her! She is my little SISTER!"
Whenever she goes in her wagon, she pats the other seat and says, "This seat for Kate! Kate sit by AnnaClaire on the wagon walk!" At the table, it is she same thing. Everywhere... "Kate sit by me!" In the car, she points to the other seat and says, "Kate sit in her carseat right by me, AnnaClaire!" She even has this great idea that she is going to drive Kate around. You have a few years till you can do that, Boo! (she is so into me driving and she wants to drive now! She really is so sweet... everytime I drive, she says, "Good girl driving, Sissy!")
Today, I got her out of her crib and I forget what sparked the conversation, but all of a sudden she was talking about Kate. Actually today she called her "No Kate. It's Katie Mei!" So we pulled out the little picture she made with Kate's pictures (which is in her room) and we looked at Kate. She asked me to take her picture with the Kate collage. She is going to be such a sweet big sister. I don't think she totally knows what's about to happen, but in time, she will be loving her little sister! Plus she is going to love having a friend her size around all the time :)
Tonight, we were all in the family room eating dinner and the news was on. Something on China came on and AnnaClaire asked me what that was. I told her it was China. She got all excited, pointed to the screen and said, "I GO TO CHINA! ON THE BIG AIRPLANE! GET MY KATE!"
We're going just as soon as we can, sweet girl. 51 days closer to our little sister!
